Roberts writing challenge
I have just committed the most sinister crime of all time, theft. I was sitting at the table waiting for dinner when I saw the last fortune cookie lying on a tray, waiting to be eaten. I asked my mother if I could have it and she said, “no” because it was for my father. Disgruntled with her answer I waited till she left the room to go to the bathroom. After emerging from my seat I slowly crept to the tray and grabbed the fortune cookie, it was at that moment I realized the guardian of the fortune cookie sitting next to the tray, my dog. As soon as I grabbed it he started barking like crazy. All of a sudden I heard loud thumps on the wooden hallway floor.
